For thos in the Toront/Southern Ontario/Western New York area a few updates from WNED Channel 17 (our PBS station...)
The Drama Desk Awards will be shown at 2:12 am on the morning of June 13th. Note the odd start time due to a long movie on at 12 midnight. This is the only showing of the awards on WNED that I can find.
Live from Lincoln Centre's LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA is being shown on June 15 at 8PM and again on the morning of June 20 at 2 AM.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
