Burton and Taylor - BBC TV film

I watched this yesterday, and loved it. Carter had Taylor down pat, and was a hoot in the role. She used the sing song voice and the raspy laugh of Taylor's to great effect. It was interesting to learn how Taylor played up to the audience and broke the fourth wall during performances of Private Lives, all to Burton's great chagrin.

There's one scene that happens backstage after Burton was rude to Taylor's assistant that had me howling with laughter.

Watching it got my interest up about this time in their history together, and I found this great article that is a very entertaining, juicy read.

Yeah agreed, usual high quality BBC drama. Two good actors portraying screen icons.
