AnnaK<3LMIP: oh okay lol :)
FOAnatic: It's racy, but its also amazing. If you are offended by it, don't watch it. I mean if you have to complain, Avenue Q has puppet sex.

Oh, I don't think SPRING AWAKENING is racy...I think it's just amateurish trash.
AVENUE Q is fantastic.

Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:10pmI concur!
#30re: But(t)...
Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:12pmAre you joking? You're amateur trash! No, in all seriousness, have you given it a real chance, going into the theatre with an open mind? Its DIFFERENT but i think the EIGHT TONY'S IT WON AND THE BILLIONS OF FANS CONTRADICT YOUR STATEMENT

Billions of fans? Really? So more people love Spring Awakening than there are citizens of the United States?
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWW!
Then, the far more adult, mature and emotionally striking show of last season, GREY GARDENS, must have TRILLIONS of fans.

Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:15pmYou are taking this argument very seriously, aren't you? Thats really sad.
#34re: But(t)...
Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:15pmDid Grey Gardens have anyone touching themself?? Any stage sex?? NO, my friend, no.

You probably think that the "best" musical of the year always wins the Tony.
That's even sadder.

It really is an opinion. Like your opinion is that Spring Awakening is trash. And my opinion is you should get a life.
But, thats just one person's opinion :)

As much as this is entertaining me, the saddest part is that this whole issue started in the first place, shizz. Let FOAnatic say what FOANatic wants. America appreciates opinions!
I hate to sound like I'm 5, but to be fair, you did start this.

How funny is that, Anna?
If someone doesn't agree with her opinion, they obviously need a life!
Sounds like a real mature theatregoer to me.

Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:19pmHa I'm only in this for entertainment too, beats reading Oedipus for English. I'm done. Bye.
#40re: But(t)...
Posted: 1/30/08 at 8:20pmActually no, I think you have no life because you are pushing this so hard.

beats reading Oedipus for English
I weep for the future of theatre.

ME TOO! I WAS ABOUT TO SAY.
I love Oedipus...
OK so about this boy/girl..
#43re: But(t)...

No, no it's not that. It's the whole being forced to read it in small chunks and taking notes and focusing on certain things, not just enjoying reading it. I always hate reading things, even things I like, if its with an assignment. I'll be reading it for an advanced acting class next year and atleast then my assignments will be interesting.
Must you be so CONDESCENDING???

OK so about this boy/girl.. me?

GAH! No! You said you were done!
As a fellow student (high school I am assuming), it is important to take notes and ANALYZE it so we can UNDERSTAND it. Let's be honest, very few of us are going to read Oedipus and understand it without class discussion. That's why we have school. So we can appreciate plays that aren't Spring Awakening.
This boy/girl is the subject of the original post and why this thread was made in the first place. Nothing would make me call you a boy/girl....
P.S. Condescending is the way you just acted towards FOAnatic. Just an FYI.

oh lawlz lawlz lawlz.
Let's just put Spring Awakening aside and be friends shall we? Its not that bad a show...its not the second coming of the messiah (or the first if you're jewish...) but are these little skiffles really necessary?
And I like Oedipus.
