The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is very pleased to continue it’s CINEMA DUPLEX series with a very special screening of the acclaimed 2003 film, Camp. The evening will also feature a live, musical performance from the film’s cast, as well as an interview with Todd Graff, Camp’s writer/director. Seth Rudetsky, host of the popular Broadway Chatterbox, will host the evening.
The screening will take place on Sunday, April 3 at 8pm. There is a required donation of $10, as well as a two drink minimum. All proceeds will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. For reservations, please call 212.255.5438. No one under 21 will be permitted. The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is an intimate, 70-seat space, located at 61 Christopher Street, in the heart of New York’s West Village.
Featured in the live musical performance will be members of the film’s cast, including (as of press time): Sasha Allen (Dee), Patrick Cubbedge (Patrick), Steven Cutts (Shaun), Robin DeJesus (Michael), Julie Kleiner (Lisa), Daniel Letterle (Vlad), Tony Melson (Tony), Dequina Moore (Dequina), Brittany Pollack (Brittany), Tiffany Taylor (Jenna) and Caitlin Van Zant (Ilana). Camp features original music and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, Michael Gore, Stephen Trask, Robert Telson and Victoria Williams, as well as classic songs from the hit Broadway shows Company, Dreamgirls, Follies and Promises, Promises.
The evening will also include a live interview with the driving force behind Camp, Writer/Director Todd Graff.

I freaking LOVE that movie. I have seriously watched it like 50 times. I want to make it into a Broadway show. It would be such a good vehical for some amazing young talent.

seriously though. i went to high school with anna kendrick- aka fritzi. She hasnt called me back yes, but I called her yesterday to get to the bottom of why she wont be there.
Watching CAMP is just weird..seing as that I was a high school drag queen and I went to school with Anna. When it came out, all the drama kids got together and watched it. It was great.
UGH. Cmon...I can't believe you freakin have to be 21 to see performances of Camp. Can I just donate my 2 drinks to the charity???
