I think you have more freedom with the Summer Institute. No one babysits you. With H.S. Summer Program, you get R.A.s and they're your babysitter outside of class. You can't do anything without them knowing and they take you everywhere. I gotta warn you though. CAP 21 Musical Theater Program. Get ready for some drama. Those are the most bitchy, arrogant, dramatic kids I came across. I was in the Musical Theater Writing program and let's just say, we stayed away from them. A few of them were cool, but they always acted better than anyone else. It does look good on college apps. It's college credit, but it'll count as an elective. I wouldn't count it as a ticket into NYU though. Only 1 out of the 9 students in my group got into NYU and that was because his SAT score was 1500. It's all about the SAT score with NYU.
