This might be a dumb question, but are CD's from the UK in a different format (like the DVD regions)? I'm interested in getting the new Evita recording, but I would like to know if I will be able to play it.
Thanks in advance for any help.

CD formats are universal; no worries.
I have several CDs that were manufactured overseas. They all play fine.

I'm pretty sure European CDs have been scientifically proven to have the latently residual side effect of snootiness...
Possibly resulting in a strong compulsion to buy a poodle.

London: Les Mis, Lion King, Sound of Music, Joseph, Hairspray, Billy Elliot
France: Le Roi Lion, Cabaret
Germany: Der Konig der Lowen
Holland: Tarzan & Les Mis

Blucat, I had exactly the same difficulty with my OBC recording of Light in the Piazza: so brassy and loud!
Thanks for the stereotyping!!!
