CHICAGO and SPAMALOT to replace BRIGADOON and NICE WORK in Boston (?)

It looks like CHICAGO and SPAMALOT will replace BRIGADOON and NICE WORK in Boston this Fall. The two shows are listed on Ticketmaster as scheduled for the Colonial theatre around the same times NICE WORK and BRIGADOON would have played.

SPAMALOT is listed as playing 11/18/08-11/23/08. Haven't we gotten SPAMALOT enough? I believe this is the 3rd time it has stopped in Boston.

CHICAGO is listed as playing 12/9/08-12/14/08. I'm much more excited for this.

According to Ticketmaster, tickets for the two shows go on sale this Friday. (9/5/0

Good lord. Well, I missed Spamalot last what, February? So I guess I'm kind of happy about that. And Chicago? Whatever, don't care either way.

I really wish we would get something different, like THE COLOR PURPLE or even JERSEY BOYS. I'm sure those would both sell really well.

I've seen Spamalot both times it first came through Boston. While it was a fun show, but I, too, wish we would get something different. I missed The Color Purple while it was on Broadway, so I would be more interested in that.

I thought that the Chicago tour closed. Or is it a regional production that is playing in Boston?

The Equity Chicago tour is supposed to resume around December I believe. So Spamalot will be here for a week? That's interesting. I'd much rather have Jersey Boys or Color Purple as well. Hell, I love to see the Phantom tour considering the current cast.

Well I've never gotten a chance to see either, but Spamalot was just here last January! Really, Broadway in Boston? While we still haven't gotten The Color Purple, or Jersey Boys, or hell, a return engagement of Avenue Q would be nicer than Spamalot! Sheshh

Really though? Ugh. Spamalot's already been here twice. And yeah, I second the wants for The Color Purple and Jersey Boys.
