This hasn't been Doug's year. First he signs up for the Scottish play at our theatre (which I was REALLY looking forward to) and then leaves that to do Spamalot. I'm a big fan of his and I do hope he gets something really good.

How long did that show (was it called Two of a Kind?) run for? 1 season? Anyway he was great in it. When I saw him in Hair thats all I could think of! He is so talented though!

It was Two of a Kind. It ran for one or two seasons, don't remember. They had another series right after that that was truly awful, but I rather enjoyed Two of a Kind.

I always thought that the relationship between him and the babysitter was a little...unsettling.

Im definitely going to see Spamalot in Chicago, and though I love Douglas Sills to the ends of the earth and back, I'm psyched to see Sieber.
There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

does anyone know if chris replacing him is fact yet? from everything I have read on here as well as on playbill.com says no one has been named replacement?
That sucks about douglas sills though he's awesome! it must mean the part either got too small, or too serious. He's much better when doing characture parts.

Sills said that leaving the show would be better for both him and the production, so I am guessing it was internal problems.

I enjoyed Doug Sills take on the whacked out dentist in Little Shop recently, but am very excited about seeing Chris Sieber in Spamalot. Spamalot is the #1 must-do show on my list for the Spring.

Internal problems? Does Douglas Sills tend to be a bit of a diva? I've never heard a bad word said against him----I'm just curious!

they cited scipt changes altering the nature of the characters he was signed on to play and he felt that he would not be the best choice for the role considering said changes.

He's kind of cute. I was fortunate to get a picture with him as Trevor Graydon in Thoroughly Modern Millie last year for BC/EFA...he's got a great smile.
