Hey, all!

Just writing all you BroadwayWorld users to let you know about Cloaked, a new musical going on right now at CAP21 starring Katie Thompson, Molly Hager, and Jim Newman. The show is by Rodgers and Daryl Roth Award winners Danny Larsen and Michelle Elliott, whose last musical (The Yellow Wood) was produced at NYMF with director BD Wong.

Cloaked is a modern deconstruction of Little Red Riding Hood set in both the real world and a virtual one. This psychological suspense thriller follows Tanner O'Connal, a detective in a Cyber Crime division, as he descends further and further into the deep, dangerous, and extraordinarily alluring landscape of the Internet. Through evolving relationships with his therapist and a 14 year old girl named November, the characters' identities blend and blur as they pursue their darkest desires in a desperate attempt to fill their empty hearts.

Cloaked will run June 8-12, 15-19, and 21-26 at 8PM, and June 26th at 3PM in The Shop Theatre (18 W 18th Street, 6th Floor). Tickets are $18 and are available through OvationTix (https://www.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/729775) You can also follow us on twitter @CloakedMusical .

The trailer looks incredible and I love the concept.

I teach Information Technology at a college upstate. I'll be using the vimeo trailer this week in my Information Security and 100 level courses as a jumping off point for a lecture on the perceived and theoretical boundaries (or lack thereof) of the information age.

...Entitlement.

I'd really like to see it. Tell us how it goes. Also, they've been selling tickets on TDF for $9.

I'm not the best at doing reviews but I'll give it a shot. This was my first off off broadway show so I wasn't sure what to expect. Got inside and it was a room with 3 rows of seats on each side, with the props and all of the show in the middle of room. It only holds around 50 people tops. They had the room decorated to look like a digital woods.

The music was fantastic and I thought the girl who played november had an amazing voice, I highly enjoyed listening to her. I thought it was entertaining, I wasn't bored once during the 2 hours of the show. It has a good story and all the songs are all pretty interesting. The lighting was also pretty well done and added to the story. It's very different to watch a show when the actors are coming from all parts of the room, but not different in a bad way.

The only compliment I really have is they had some sound issues with the headset microphones but I could still hear what was being said so it was no big deal.

I also got my tix on tdf so it was only 9 bucks. You really can't beat it at that price. I think tomorrow is the last day to catch this show, I would definitely recommend checking it out if you thought the trailer was interesting.

The best part of this was that I will most likely explore other off off broadway shows now because of this show. Updated On: 6/26/10 at 12:58 AM
