Please post any thoughts/comments/reviews of CURTAINS at Papermill which opened May 1st.
I enjoyed Hairspray and Les Miserables there this season.
But Forum was a huge disappointment.
Anyone that can post reviews or their own reviews...that would be great.

Let me put it this way: it was a very well-staged production, but that can't cover up the fact that it's an awful show. And Newman stuttered on a lot of his lines.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM was slow, tedious, and worst of all NOT funny. I couldn't wait for it to end. I sincerely hope CURTAINS is better.

I saw the show last night and enjoyed it, despite the silliness of the show's premise itself. Kim Zimmer plays a great Carmen and doles out her crass lines with real zest. Her vocal performance is also on the money. Robert Newman plays a fantastic Cioffi and the audience can't help but sympathize with the antics of Bambi, played by Anne Horak.
The first act of the show does drag a little, but that is not the fault of the actors or the producer. The sets, the music and dance were all well done.
