I was called back today to read and sing for the role of Cliff in CABARET. However, I am wholly unfamiliar with the song I was given ("Don't Go") or the context in which the song appears. If anyone could offer their assistance by telling the context (or sending a digital recording of the piece) I would be greatly indebted to them. Thanks!
UPDATE: also, if anyone could provide the full lyrics to this song (I was only given a 16 bar cut) I would greatly appreciate it

Don't Go was written for the 1980's revival and, from what I can venture, usually cut from a lot of other productions.
I'm sure Cliff is singing it to Sally. Possibly after What Would You Do? When she defies Cliff and goes back to the Klub, or after that scene (Cabaret) when they break up.
Not a lot of info is available from the 87 revival
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
