I remember reading on this board about a production of Cabaret being performed in DC... anyone have any info on this or can point me in the right direction? I used the search feature already and came back with nothing.

Thanks!

It's part of Arena Stage's new season. Brad Oscar is starring. (YEAH!) 9/8 - 10/29/06

Its an environmental production. Should be good!

Darn me for going to college farish away from home! My folks have a subscription to Arena and are seeing this. Brad Oscar is going to be the Emcee and Meg Guillentine will be Sally Bowles (she was Lola in "Damn Yankees" there and was an usherette in the Producers, and in "Frogs").

Rosencrantz: "Be happy - if you're not even HAPPY what's so good about surviving? We'll be all right. I suppose we just go on." - from Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

not to sound naive, but what is an environmental production?

Instead of traditional seating, they are going to be using (at least I heard) cabaret/night club seating. So, as such, the audience is a "part" of the show.

Also heard that the guiding principle is the 1960s version, vice the revival.
