My favorite Sally of all time is Susan Eagan. Hands down.
And I liked Raul's Emcee.

I think I'd like to see Jane Krakowski play Sally before the show closes...which hopefully isn't soon. I got this idea a long time ago from you, cabarethed, and now I'm hoping Jane does do Cabaret.

Not too long ago I read an article about Jane where she stated that she was offered the role of Sally before. So...I dunno. I'd die if she did it...but I'm afraid she won't with all the Nine publicity, her Tony and the fact that she has clout to open brand new shows and not be one of the gazillion replacement Sallys.
It's a shame

I don't think Jane would do it now either. She's big right now so I don't know why she'd choose to go into an older show such as Cabaret as a replacement.
From what I've heard of Matt McGrath, I wouldn't mind seeing him.
I'd also like to see either Gina Gershon or Lea Thompson to come back and do the show. Lea's tv show that airred on Lifetime last year was cancelled so as far as I know she's not tied to another project. But I think it's cool that Susan's coming back.
