While I haven't seen anything official friends of Calvin's Remsberg have posted that he passed away today. He was in Sweeney Todd and Phantom with Broadway tours. His long career also included directing and musical directing. I first new of him when he was a theatre teacher at a private school in the DC area before leaving for his acting career.

Oh no! Very sad. I loved all of Remsberg's performances. Saw him in the original Los Angeles production of Phantom three times and watched his performance as Beadle Bamford in the filmed touring production of Sweeney Todd at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in L.A. many times. I will always remember him for his amazing vocal talent and his memorable performances. I know he also played Old Deuteronomy in Cats as well. I'm sure he was perfect in that role.
He will be missed.

Aw this is very sad news!. I had the privilege to have studied with him ages ago. He was such a sweet and kind man. He will definitely be missed.
