I went to a movie tonight that everyone should see.
It is called CAMP. It is hilarious. I need to contact the Producers(Danny Devito) I want to own it on DVD.
For anyone who went to acting camp this movie will make your sides ache.
I almost had a Forbidden Broadway moment (When I push I Pee)
Camp is playing at Lincoln Plaza Cinemas in Manhattan.
It is worth a trip and then some.
I hope to interview some of the kids in it.
Stay tuned.
(Stephen Sondheim is in it and the Choregraphy is done by Jerry Mitchell. Steven Brindberg was also in it. Do not leave until all the credits as he has a funny bit at the end.

Thank you for telling me what I should do. Would you care to tell me what I shouldn't do as well?

yah right now it's playing in one theatre in CA, west hollywood, does it actually have a world wide opening? I think it could be a hit, if Bring it On, Drumline, and Center Stage were popular with the teen crowds.

Anna Kendrick rocked my world. I was dying during the Ladies who Lunch. I laughed, I cried, I fell in love. Bring it on!!!

Is it only coming out in certain theatres too?? That's stupid!!

I saw the movie in CA this week, it was alot of fun! The Ladies Who Lunch was awesome, and alot more surprises and Musical Theatre choices. The lead actor/chracter was so annoying though(Vlad).

I knew this movie would spark their careers on bway. They have a pic of dequina on bway.com. Do they have a bio on the other girl on the Hairspray site?

NO! The Turkey Lurkey girl on teh right is the one who took over for Kamilah in Hairspray.
Check out the photo-op at broadway.com and you will see Dequina. She is the one in thefinale wearing the suede looking alter top with teh long fringe and the curly weave.

this movie not only made me laugh hysterically, but the musical numbers in the show were REALLY good. i loved the white version of "and i am telling you" and "turkey lurkey time." but anyways, why was this the FIRST place i heard about it? i haven't heard anything about the movie on TV or radio or anything. and btw, what was the first 5 minutes of the movie? the song was beautiful, but i think i missed something there...also, what was the last song from? the one the black girl sang, the "i am what i am, take a stand" song. or was it writted for the movie?
i need to see it again.

I thought that last song was so important for people who have felt rejected for what they like or stand for, or are. Ashamed of themselves, like Jenna who's parents were asses or the rest of the kids in Camp. Coming of age song like the movie. I loved it. And yes Vlad is f@#%$ hot!

Daniel Letterle (Vlad) is VERY hot!
Vince Rimoldi (Spritzer) is also a looker as well. :) YUM

Saw it last night, I liked the movie, but was way annoyied by the story line, it was just kinda out of wack to me. There was a few moments of nice singing, but for the most part the music just annoyied me, I hated the white girl in the dream girls number, and what was the point of vamping everything for 5 minutes???? Anyways, I liked it, but it could have been better.
