Unless I'm misremembering, the lyrics themselves only talk about being kissed. What the "moment" with the prince actually consisted of is implied but not spelled out, as I recall.

I don't think it's as much inappropriate for a child as incongruous. It's too sophisticated (imo) for a child.

It's a song about learning to appreciate what you have. A 90-year-old appreciates not taking things for granted better than a 50-year-old does, but we don't say that a 50-year-old can't grasp the concept. A 9-year-old can certainly grasp that a 9-year-old's level. She's not going to have the nuances of Joanna Gleason, but come on, folks. She's not doing "I'm Still Here." I think this is great and hope she has great fun doing it.
