You might could get away with seeing Doubt at 8pm on Friday. The running time is an hour and thirty minutes with NO intermission, but you would have to haul ass to the village after it was over.

Also, since you will be in the city on Thursday, you can always go to Seth's Chatterbox at six. No matter who the guest is, Seth is always great! I'm sure you would really enjoy it.

You could also do an 8:00 Friday performance of Altar Boyz. It's also 1 hour 30 with no intermission. The E / C trains are right there and you could get to the 14th E stop at 8th and either take the L train or a cab over to Dog Sees God.

You may able to squeeze in "I love you because" on Friday night at 8PM, and in southern Manhattan...but I'm not sure the exact location of "ILYB" & "Dog Sees God", but maybe if they are close, you can manage it.

I don't think "I love you because" is a long show.

Bee is also over before 10 on Friday nights, though you'd be cutting it close.

Pretty sure you'd be able to get Slava's Snowshow in at 8 on Friday! It's only two blocks from DSG, an hour and a half long and is a very fun time!

Would you like to share with all of us how you can afford all this?

Dog Sees God is on 15th Street, where several other off- broadway theaters are also located. The Daryl Roth Theater is one- Almost, Maine is playing there but will be closed by the time you get here (unless you're here this weekend). The DR2 Theater is there, playing Indoor/ Outdoor. On the website, it says that running time is 1 hour 55 minutes with an intermission, but when I saw it last weekend (and it was great), it had no intermission and definitely didn't run that long. You could call the theater to find out. The Vineyard (where Avenue Q started) is also on 15th Street, and (title of show) is playing there, starting February 15th. You'd have to call to find out running time, but since it's on 15th Street as well, that's in your favor already.
Good luck! And good show choices too! re: Can I squeeze in any more shows?

[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

have fun!
i dont know about other shows you could see, but besides the mention of going to see Seth's, maybe you could take a Times Square Theatre tour which leaves from the Times Square Vistors/Ticket Center. dont quote me on that though...
or just hang out in Times Square, and go by all the theatres in all... thats all i ever do. i take pictures of them too :)

cool schedule, and have fun (again)!

Thank you ALL for the sugestions---I'm going to have to print the thread and figure out what I want to do! Seth's is a definite, though---thanks for tipping me off!
As to affording this insanity, I've had the Spamalot and Odd Couple tickets since June or July of last year, and the trip kind of grew around it. I've gotten a ticket here, and a ticket there---Phantom was with a discount (I've seen it everywhere else it seems, but never in NYC!) and Dog Sees God is $25 for the 10:00 show. I stay in a hostel (which saves beaucoup $$$) and is right by the theater district. I'd rather take Greyhound (which I do) and use the money I save on cheap digs and transportation for an awesome seat! (Most of the shows are within the first few rows of the orchestra---Odd Couple is front row mezzanine).

Keep the suggestions coming! I'm going to go to NYC the 21st, so I have a little time to decide what else I want to do!

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

Just went to Indoor/Outdoor this week. It was WONDERFUL and also only an hour and 35 minutes with no intermission. Considering it's less than a block from DSG, I greatly recommend it for your Friday at 8pm slot! It's adorable, endearing and very enjoyable!

Wow, it's going to be an awesome trip. You can squeeze in one more show, but I mean, will you ever have time for shopping(b-way shopping, like t-shirts and awesome stuff like that, i love b-way stuff)

How about a Thursday matinee??? You could take the train out to Milburn to see The Diary of Anne Frank at Papermill Playhouse. I was able to squeeze in another show on a short trip this way. You would have no trouble getting out there (a 40 minute train ride from Penn Station) for the 2 PM matinee and back for DRS.

If I take in a Thursday matinee, will I still be able to catch Seth's Chatterbox? I was kind of looking forward to that, since I haven't done anything like that before.
I will be attending a convention part of Friday, and going to MoMA that day also. Thursday morning I wanted to ice skate (all the times I've been to NYC, and I never did the Rockefeller Center skating rink---of course I'll break something!)
Shopping isn't a big deal---I like to save my $$$ for the BC/EFA flea market in Sept (though I do buy the occasional t-shirt or program!)
