I have only seen snips of the show but he does so much physical work its not funny.
I haven't seen the performances, but the acceptance speeches were performance enough for me ... Hamlet On Ice. He's way too "actory" and hammy for me and doesn't seem to know when (or how?) to turn it off.
Yuck. And no thanks.
Thank God for one speech that did not thank everyone bu their 3 rd grade teacher to someone they once met on the street. Good thing the speechs were kept to a minimum. I wish that everyone had been given equal time. This was obviously not the case.

If you watch it, maybe you will 'get' him -- I think you may be reading him wrong
And I may be biased -- I *loved* Jerusalem, and found his performance to be funny, touching, and heartbreaking. I'd never seen him before, but I was levelled
