I read about this on some other post a couple of days ago, and I just wanted more information about it. Where is it? How much? When is the best time to go wait?
Anything would be helpful... thanks!

Depends which show...
The tickets are usually in orchestra, and in most cases given out like right before the show starts (15 mins before)
What would happen if it was a really popular show?
And how much are the tickets? More or less than face value?

I believe the tickets are sold at face value. I know they sold at face value at Wicked, and I assume it is the same for other shows.
yeah... Wicked tix are face value... and they're like 99% in orchestra.
Thanks for all your help.
As for Wicked, how many tickets are usually in the cancellation lines? and how many people waiting?

well now there are ALOT of people waiting... they usually give out about 10-12 is my guess.
Youre best bet is to go on a Sat. or Wed. and get there as the matinee show is starting and be first on the night show cancellation line, and hope they give out tickets early.
My friend went to Wicked this past Saturday and waited for four hours to get tickets to the Sat. evening performance. She said there were about 15 people in front of her. She got tickets and people behind her did too. She sat in Orchestra row G.

Also have cash ready, because they may not accept credit cards.
And be prepared to perform oral sex on the box office attendants - I've learned that sometimes it's the only way.

HAhahaah...
Ok, let me start practising on a banana, so I'm ready for the cancellation line for Idina's last show.

I might actually try the wicked lotto on thanksgiving - i'm off from work and can't go home and am curious about the new cast, that's not so new anymore. Think it'll be easy on thanksgiving?
Good luck *hands banana to Munkustrap*
I think it'll be busier than usual... if you're prepared to line up for hours you should be fine. I'm always far too lazy to do cancellation lines

Get partial view.
If you're a single, you can get BB5 or 6, which is front row on the extreme sides.
$55 for JLT alone is worth it.
Honey I said lotto.

But QM said cancellation line, so I figured while we were at it, you should hypothetically spend half as much as you would there and not waste your time losing the lottery and still sit front row.
Oops, sorry!
It's impossible to win the lottery anyway and on Thanksgiving? Forget it, mate!

Im really confused.
It isn't impossible to win. My friends and I won it twice in one weekend. However I would never wait in line in NYC for hours for the chance to get cancellation tickets...
