Is anyone seeing Kristin in Candide? Is is going to be recorded, anyone know. I would loves to here her sing Glitter and Be Gay.

She sang it on a Concert in Central park where they did an evening of Leonard Bernstein's music - she was amazing - I wish I could afford to see her in this production and I LOVE Patty Lupone - should be an amazing evening.

Even a free ticket is too much to spend to hear what "that woman" will inflict on "Glitter and be Gay".....

I hope she "mugs" like Martha Raye during "Make our garden grow"!

I actually when warmed up can sing a fairly decent soprano high B....

I know Kristen can "sing" it..I just don't want to "hear" it!

well - once again, I've seen her do it and its really a beautiful and very funny rendition - not many sopranos find the humor in the song - actually, she acts it quite well.

the only role I can think of her (Patti) doing in the show is the old woman - "I am easily assimilated." what other role could she possibly do in the show?

i take it that "i am easily assimilated" is that name of the song this charater sings??? if so is it a song that will show off lupone's voice (a big belty showstopper)???? thanks :)

It's in the "News" section on the right side. :) Not super-duper fond of it, but it's cute and Kristin rules despite almost anything.

Patti will be awsome as the Old Lady! Whos playing Paquette? anyone know, for that matter who's Maxamillian, Dr. Pangloss or Candide??

I think Christopher Fitzgerald (Boq from Wicked) was Candide as some point. It would be a hoot if both he and Kristin were in the same production!
