"A Bridge Of Contract" wtf? is that? And the fact that someone does a role for almost 2 years, gees, I think they might need a vacation! I am hoping to see CArly when I go to NYC week after next, but if not, I do love to see understudies, there are a few exceptions,when I went to see Little Women the first time and saw that Maureen was out that day, I opted to wait til she was in, because she is the main reason I was going to see it and she is a legend in her own time! I would also be a little dissapointed if Pierce, Curry, or Azaria were out of Spamalot, or Butz & Lithgow in DRS, but I would survive, I understand these people have lives, families, illnesses, deaths, interviews, media obligations on different coasts to promo the shows, and on and on.

I hope you are kidding. I KNOW Carly's contract doesn't say ANYTHING about having to perform the night you bought your ticket for.

Carly can take off any performance she wishes. She's been doing the part for over two years now, and if anyone failed to realize, she's on stage for over 95% of the show. I'd like to see all of these whiners try and perform that role 8 times a week.

She is so hardworking and caring about her fans. On my fansite for Carly she even stated that she was out for vacation and then got sick. She also loves her job aswell. Carly is back in Hairspray. Also, If you get a standby or understudy for Tracy or any part that is don't blame the actor/actress/. They do have lives outside of the show.

See this is the question and what she answered with on the forum

Question: "are you like sick or on vaction? i heard you been outt like the past few days..if your sick get better"

Answer: "ok.....once and for all, lol.......I was on vacation that I had saved up for 2 weeks. I got back tuesday and came down with a double ear infection, its nasty we'll just say that. Thanks for the "get-well" support I got to tell you its SO much nicer than the trash talking and speculation that goes on by poeple who have absolutely NO idea what they're talking about. But, it comes with the job. I unfortunatly like to set people straight. So, for those of whom are concerned God bless you I will be back in the swing of things in no time....and for those who would rather talk trash....do what you will, lol, either way I'll be doing my thang!!!

When I went in November, Carly wasn't there, but I'm not complaining. I can understand why someone would need a break.
