I read something on her a few months ago that she's trying to reach out to terminally ill people and give them a little bit of happiness.

Carol Channing is not a homophobe. She is aware she has a great deal of gay fans. She has a great deal of gay friends (Charles Nelson Reilly, Jerry Herman) who she loves dearly. I believe her words were taken the wrong way or out of context.

I saw her in Branson, MO in October of 2005.

I was the youngest person in the audience, and she thinks my name is Gary Cooper. OH well.
