I have one spot left in my upcoming NYC trip and I'm trying to decide between CAROLINE, OR CHANGE and GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY. I am not terribly familiar with either show though I've read synopses and listened to some of the cast albums of each. Would love to hear some opinions and/or thoughts on each to help me decide. THANKS!!!

I have yet to see the North Country (have tix for the end of October), but in my opinion, Caroline is unmissable. The vocal talent alone is astonishing. The musical is slow during the first act but the second act is makes it all worth.

I saw GFTNC Off-Broadway and was a bit let down by it tbh. The music is great (obviously, it’s Bob Dylan) and well-sung but I just did not connect with the story at all. Felt very slow moving and overly dour.
Caroline on the other hand is great all the way round. Some truly excellent performances and a great score from Jeanine Tessori. It’s also a bit of a slow burn, but I found myself completely engaged the entire show!
