TWS has Constantine on it....that's how they advertised it at the theatre last night. And then about seventy five girls let out ear piercing screams :-P
It will probably sell a lot of copies though, so that's good for charity. It did seem like it was the WHOLE cast with Constantine featured.

Posted: 10/25/06 at 5:33pmI got my CD today, and hearing this whole concept for the first time, I'm impressed so far. I'm still listening so I can't fully comment yet, but so far so good. However, I looked through the booklet and there are some major stars missing from some of the shows participating. Is that normal?

Posted: 10/25/06 at 5:39pmCan you tell me who's singing the Rent and Avenue Q track?

Rent is Ava Gaudet, John Korba, Kyle Post and Nicole Lewis.
Avenue Q is basically the whole cast with swings.

Posted: 10/25/06 at 5:47pmThanks. Not exactly happy with the Rent performers, but Kyle Post makes up for it (or I hope he will when I buy and listen).

Here's what I've been told: The performers aren't hand-picked for the CD, and Broadway Cares doesn't control who sings on it. Every year, the whole cast -- even the crew -- is invited. Sometimes the stars sign-up, sometimes they don't. It may be that they're too busy promoting their show, but I think they may step aside and let some of the chorus members get a chance to shine. That's what I like most about the CDs. Some of the most talented people on B'way are not particularly well known, but they're on the CD every year with whatever show they're in.

Posted: 10/25/06 at 6:28pmYeah, I really love TWS's song just because the ensemble all gets to sing.
