Gee. I wonder if the Billy Rose estate still owns the copyright to the name "Casa Mañana".

I haven't seen this in print anywhere, but I heard from someone who works for Casa that Rachel York will be part of the production. It's going to be performed at Bass Hall as part of Casa's Broadway at the Bass series.

I haven't been there in years. Are they still performing in that horrible dome?

Yes, they are. However it was recently rennovated, and I have not seen it since.

The dome is there, but it's no longer a theater-in-the-round. I was disappointed that they changed it (since it was the United States' oldest one), but oh well. Now it's just like every other theater you walk into. Lost it's character.

I hated that place. I saw Little Shop there years ago. The silver mylar ceiling reflected all the lights and the dome effect created the worst acoustics. Every line echoed everywhere and the songs were difficult to understand.
