Not so sure those are good examples. Hair's entire cast left, right? And God of Carnage had A list celebs, not whatever letter Constantine is (not A, B or C). And Race had big names as well, and as you said, wasn't blowing the doors off to begin with.

I can't see Mitch as anything other than Lonny... but maybe he'll surprise us (if this does indeed happen).
As for the rest of it, I saw it a few weeks ago. I primarily went because I was told to go before Constantine leaves. And even though he was great, the show was ALSO amazing. So they don't really NEED him. Everyone I've mentioned it to has had an interest, and the person I mentioned was actually Mitch, not Constantine.

Mitch has a date set to start as Stacee Jaxx which will run six months then back as Lonny. Lauren will love to reprise her role as Regina on broadway.

Looks like Joey will be replacing Constantine...congrats Joey! I love the way that they did this!

they were never looking for a "name" in that particular role so this has no baring on that. Just a cool situation of giving a kid a break on Broadway. Good for them.

I agree svg. what are you on about svg? this show was always about the music for the fans. Constantine is no more of a name than Ace or Diana who didn't do anything for HAIR. If ROA it ends, it will have nothing to do with who is cast as Drew.

Barney-Lauren is fantastic. Josephine is fantastic. When someone like Lauren has been with the show from the beginning in NY and is loved, you will be hard pressed to find anyone who think anyone is "superior" to her. In Toronto, i don't think they would ever find anyone as good as Mitch for Lonny. How is Aaron doing?

Aaron, to put it kindly, is no Mitch. I guess you could say that about most people, but I mean, he's REALLY no Mitch. Definitely the weak link in Toronto, imo.

And I understand getting attached to LM, especially with all those ROA Productions, but Josephine is simply better in the role. Not a coincidence she got called up.
