Cast Recording Question for Canadian or European BWWers

Posted: 9/21/05 at 11:09am

There are several cast recordings I am considering buying from soundofmusic.de, but frankly know nothing about them.

If you've heard any of these, can you PM or post your thoughts?

thanks

1. Casanova, original Berlin Cast 2005
2. Sound of Music, Original Vienna Cast 2005
3. Dracula, Original Canada Cast 2005

If I'm not mistaken the Dracula recording would be a chamber musical version done at Stratford a few years back. A video exsists too I believe. I've heard mixed things. I say go for it, if anything you can prolly get some cash for it if you dont like it.

So Casanova is not a musical but a revue in Berlin in the Friedrichstadtpalast. Cannot say much about it, but I think it is not worth bying because mostly the music of the revues in Friedrichstadtpalast is not so strong.
Sound of Music Vienna, cannot say something about it.
Dracula Canada is a further musicalversion of Dracula in French. It seems to be another frankopopshow, like Romeo and Juliet and Notre Dame de Paris.
