Since this is Spring-Break for many, I was just wondering. Several years ago on one of my Spring-breaks, the teacher set up a "talk-back" session with the cast of a Broadway show after the show and we all got to stay in the theatre and sit in the front 2 rows and ask questions and the cast talked about life in the Theatre, ect. Do they ever still do that? Anyone been to one lately? It was such a great experience!

Encores does one after the Saturday matinee for their three shows. They are usually quite good as Encores tries to pull in someone associated with the original show. (I'm hoping for Ruby Dee, Melba Moore or Sherman Hemsley for "Purlie") The worst part is when people in the audience ask really stupid questions. (Yeah, I know there are no stupid questions, but you have to hear some of the ones these people ask).
Roundabout also does it with their shows.
I went to one for the one-woman show "Nine Parts of Desire." I guess it was a little different than what you'll be doing since it was only one person, but she was the actress, as well as the playwright. I loved it - I thought she was brilliant, and made her work even more resonant by talking about it.
Wonderful Town did them on Wednesday nights.
The La Cage cast was nice enough to have a talk back with my college theater group back in December. With most shows a talk back can be arranged through the stage manager as long as the group will donate a certain amount of money to BCEFA.
