If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Well, I know Darcie Roberts played Amneris on Broadway (or understudied it), and she was the tour Millie, so based on that Sutton would probably be fabulous.
My vote for casting that would never work is....
Adam Pascal as Fiyero (HA! JOKING! Please don't kill me.)
in seriousness
Patti LuPone as Galinda Marissa Jaret Winokur as Aida Hugh Jackman as Roger in Rent
alright, im too wrapped up in political stuff to think of more.
It's funny but a few years ago, before Hedwig closed at the Jane, Anthony Rapp's name came up as a possibility for the role. Many people, fans of both Hedwig and Rent, were hysterical at the possibility and claimed it never would/should happen. Well, we all know that Anthony did, in fact, play Hedwig in several cities and was great in the role. So anything's possible, I guess. :)
I like the idea of John Tartaglia AS Rod AS Elphaba. Can't you see them doing Defying Gravity? Oh God...so funny. Bring me down! Ah...ah......AHAHAHHAHHA.....ahhhhhhhhhhh.
Idina Menzel- Little Red, Into the Woods Harvey Firestien- Tony, West Side Story Cheno- Maria, West Side Story Obvious, I know. This is a funny thread, many laughs!
Stritch as Peter Pan?? "Would you just clap your g-ddamn hands? Sh*t!"
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

sorry folks but the suggestions, that you guys have here are kinda ridiculous.
I mean ridiculous because for example Hugh Jackman would never do Rent just because he is too old. If you would say Lea Salonga as Christine would never work, then the reason would be cause she is vocally wrong for it but as a type could pull it off.
John Secada as the emcee Joel Grey as the wizard - or anyone as the wizard for that matter - that role is dreadfully written. lastly, anyone from american idol on broadway EVER - especially when the girl is african american playing an indian film director. Go, Tamyra. Can't wait...
you gotta love the casting direction of good old bombay

Harvey - Guido Contini Nathan - Don Quijote de la Mancha Stokes - Peter Allen Hugh - The Beast ( before he turns back into a prince) Kristin - Kim of Saigon Lea - Olga of Max and Leo
It's difficult to think of a role that won't fit Bernadette (assuming her whole career span)
