By oppinion what are the "must buys" of musical soundtracks????
Oh you'll get a huge variation of responses on this one!
All I can say is, "anything Sondheim".
Hmmm. Musical SOUNDRACKS, huh? I would go with Grease, West Side Story, Evita and Chicago to start. Those were all great movies.

Matt - you are becoming more a hero in my eyes everyday!
Some good "Cast Recordings" are Les Miz, Phantom, Wicked, and Avenue Q, in my opinion.
Not to be rude, I'm just wondering, why is it such a big deal if someone goofs and says "soundtrack" instead of cast recording? I've noticed so many people getting called on that, and although it's definitely a mistake, it hardly seems big enough to make a big deal over...
I don't know, just my opinion
I don't mean to be rude, because I goof a lot too. I was just sort of being sarcastic. Hence the quotes. lol. Btw, I love your icon!
I agree that Matt G is awesome. I wonder if he looks anything like the picture in real life.
Anyway, my must haves are anything by Jerry Herman.
If you had to choose only one from this past year I'd go with Assassins.
RENT
Phantom of the Opera
Jesus Christ Superstar (1996 London Cast)
Parade
Tick Tick Boom
And so on and so forth

Finally got Taboo... I must say that I would pay eighteen bucks for Petrified alone, but I don't have to because the CD comes with some other nifty songs as well. I reccomend it.
I still haven't gotten that yet....can't decide if I should or not

DO!!! It's fantastic, I really didn't think it would be my thing, but I've listened to it nonstop all day.
