I'm glad there was a cast change, Kelli seems to be better at acting and singing from the clips I just heard. Thanks for that, and I also love Sarah Uriate Berry as Franca... I wonder if there are any clips of Kelli as Franca? I would love to hear her on the high notes in Aiutami. Anyway, I've always wanted to compare the two... you can also ssee the costume changes too. I definitely prefer Kelli and Matt to Celia and Pasquale. Pasquale is definitely talented, but I prefer Matt's voice to his... Pasquale reminds me of Burham, who I did not like as Fabrizio.
Anyway, someone pm me if they know of a clip of Kelli as Franca... thanks!

In Seattle, Clara was more infantile. Her "problem" was more apparent. The love b/w Fabrizio and Clara was more credible as the love between two really young lovers versus what it is now; the love between two fairly young adults. Kelli plays Clara off more maturely. Celia played it off more like a child. They both also had different directors and different men to play off of. Kelli is apples. Celia is oranges.

The Fabrizio in that clip is Steven Pasquale, currently on Rescue Me.
Slight sidebar/heads up - Steven Pasquale will be back on the New York stage this Fall in A Soldier's Play at Second Stage. Wasn't he on some magazine's list of most attractive elgible bachelors, or something?
