Changes to SWEENEY revival cast? — Page 2

I wrote the post on the other board that led to people speculating that Ziemba was going into Sweeney. I mentioned that she withdrew from a production of Pippin in order to pursue an opportunity that will allow her to demonstrate aspects of her talent she hasn't had much chance to "show off" before. Another poster wondered whether she could play trumpet and if so, was she going into Sweeney?

For the record, while I'm not at liberty to reveal what the other opportunity is, I can say that I was not referring to Ziemba going into Sweeney.

Thanks for clearing that up. Now we all can relax knowing the truth...Karen is going to be playing Dorothy in THE WIZ.

The role of the Begger Woman is a very demanding one. It's not just the notes that the character sings, but rather the WAY those notes have to be sung that make the role a killer. I doubt that Ziemba could handle it.
