Charity Auction! (Donna Murphy, Bebe Neuwirth, Cherry Jones and More!)

Hi guys!

Every year, I walk in The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer... it's a
2-day, 39 mile walk to raise awareness and money to fight breast cancer.

One of the ways I raise money is with something I call Project
Teddy Bear... I ask celebrities to sign tags that I attach to
breast cancer bears and auction off. I also take a picture of
the celebrities with a bear to include in the auctions and help
with promotion on my website.

This year, I also have pink boxing gloves that Everlast produced and donated to me to get autographed and auction off.

I've got more than 100 bears to auction off this year... and a
half dozen signed gloves (so far!)... and I've just launched the first wave!

I'm starting slow... with just 4 items in this batch... a glove
signed by the cast of Jersey Boys and bears with autographs from John Lloyd Young, Christian Hoff and J. Robert Spencer.

(I think what I'll do is just update this thread when I have new auctions to launch that have to do with Broadway... I think I may do the Sweeney Todd bears next. :))

Yeah, I usually take the pictures myself, but, in this case, I had made a little swap with John Lloyd Young... I made a donation to BC/EFA and he arranged to get the glove signed and get the autographs/pics for the bears... so, I didn't see the pictures until I developed the disposable camera... was very pleased when I saw them. :)

I didn't actually get these bears myself... I had arranged to leave the stuff at the stage door for JLY and he took care of getting the signatures and photos... I'm not sure why he didn't get Daniel... maybe he was out the day he got the others? (He *did* sign the glove, though :))

I haven't actually seen the show yet, but, am planning to... when I *do* I'll hit the stagedoor myself and get that 4th bear. :)

I have a new batch of Project Teddy Bear auctions to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer launched! (Next month I'll be walking in Houston and in October, back here in NYC... each walk is a 2-day, 39 mile walk to fight breast cancer).
