Posted: 2/18/06 at 6:52pmneither of them are exactly like the movie, the straight play is very different from both movies, the musical version is similiar to the Gene Wilder movie but not exactly alike

I am currently Teching a show of Willy Wonka/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The show is very entertaining in and of itself. Mind you this is a children's company, but the kids seem to really enjoy it and I have enjoyed watching it myself. If you have any questions on the show itself I would be more than happy to answer them as I have easy access to a script. It's a fun show. Hope this helps!
