If you’re okay with seeing something that isn’t a musical, go for The Play That Goes Wrong. You’ll probably be able to pick up $30 tickets. If they’re not rush seats, then they’ll be balcony seats. I’d probably shoot for balcony seats over “partial sight” seats- especially if you’re house left (there are laughs on the left that you will miss if you’re that far to the left). I had a lot of fun and laughed a ton when I went!
You actually might be hard pressed to find a musical that sells <$50 tickets that late in the day- but I think someone got The Band’s Visit rush tickets later in the day. That could be an option, but not very likely.
On second thought, Waitress might have SRO at that time, but I’m not really sure. Might be a good idea to call the box office to ask when they usually run out of SRO. Might be a good idea to do that to all of the other shows as well, while you’re at it, lol.
