Cheapest Show to See Right Now?

Sorry if this seems like a strange question, but I've been really sick...and I may actually have someone who can drive me into Toronto and I'd love to see a show. I really wanted to see Jersey Boys but it doesn't look like they have any particularily cheap tickets (I would need to buy one for my ride as well) so I thought I'd throw it out here and see if anyone had any recommendations for something good to see that might also have some deals on. Something like how the Canon often offers the stool seats.

Thanks!

re: Cheapest Show to See Right Now?

If you are in on a Monday night don't forget Cansateg has Pay What You Can seats. You can see IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE and pay whatever you feel like paying: $10 is suggested but they wil take less.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I've got the promo email at my home email account (I'm at work now), but if you're interested, Mirvish has deals for Dirty Dancing and We Will Rock You during the holidays. Let me know and I can write the details.

re: Cheapest Show to See Right Now?

I got that Mirvish e-mail, too.

We Will Rock You for $25: "We have a limited amount of seats to the matinee performances of Sat Dec 13, Sun Dec 14, Sat Dec 20 and Sun Dec 21 (all shows at 2 PM). Tickets to these shows are only $25 with the code ESCAPE"

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on Christmas Eve for $24: "Start a new tradition of getting together at the theatre on Christmas Eve. Tickets are only $24 for CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG on Wed Dec 24, 7PM. Bring the whole family, the neighbours, the postman...everyone. To purchase your $24 tickets just call 416-872-1212 or 1-800-461-3333 or go online at mirvish.com. Your promotional code is EVE "

Various holiday season perfs of Dirty Dancing for $50 and We Will Rock You for $40.

(While all these Mirvish discounts makes one think that they are desperate in these difficult times, on the other hand, the Priscilla announcement makes one think that they still have confidence in the (musical) theatre business.)

re: Cheapest Show to See Right Now?

Wow, there are some really great deals on right now that I didn't even realize were out there. Thanks everyone for the tips.

I think I'm most interested in Jersey Boys, I really want to see the Canadian Cast and also the company I'm traveling with would probably like it the most. I don't want to rely on rush...so just to confirm, the $35 tickets are ones you can actually buy and they are just not the best seats?
