I only planned to watch a minute or two. And then I couldn't look away...
I remember when she used this as part of one of her (countless) video interludes during I think her Believe tour, though it may havebeen the similar Farewell one. I was amazed--and frustrated as I couldn't find it for a number of years till youtube became big.
Kinda brave and embarrassing at the same time. Chazz-tastic.

I wish Cher would do a more grown up musical now that she's older.
Follies anyone? That sad thing is shed probably be scarily appropriate for about half the cast.

I say she'd either play Carlotta or Phyllis and she would knock it out of the water. I know she's in her sixties but she still looks pretty good for her age so maybe she could pull it off.

Indeed. Her head voice was shockingly thin for a professional singer.
But you have to give her credit for attempting a 12-minute "solo" musical sequence, even if was taped rather than live (for obvious reasons).
(ETA: Oh, and I agree: she'd be a great Carlotta. She'd also overwhelm the entire production simply because of who she is. Ditto for Bette Midler or Stevie Nicks. Maybe Cher would work in a film version (which I find very unlikely).)
