wonderful news!
All things should be taped and broadcast on PBS!
I'm not flipping out over your comments, I am just wondering what the big deal is regarding what photo they use. If they use Josh Groban's photo, any random Josh Groban fan who doesn't know anything about Chess may assume that it is a Josh Groban concert special or something, which would incorrectly be publicizing the event. Not a lot of people outside the Broadway community really know who Idina Menzel is, yet she is not a complete unknown, so they used her photo. I don't know why they didn't use Pascal's. They probably figured Menzel is the main selling point of the show among the Broadway community, and whether you want to admit it or not, she probably is one of the most popular among the cast, aside from Groban and Pascal. Additionally the articles are on Broadway websites, which is probably why they used Menzel's picture. Had we seen this on MSN Entertainment, perhaps they would've used Groban's picture.
Look at other Playbill.com articles. Often they only feature one actor or actress in a photo, even if there is more than one popular star involved with whatever project the article discusses.
Besides, as you said, it is only two articles at this point. There'll probably be more articles promoting the airing, and I'm sure we'll see more pictures, including production photos.
The only person making it a "big deal" is you. You're making ridiculous assumptions about the intentions of my innocuous comment.
