I just got offered the part of Go to Hell Kitty in a regional production. AND shame on me I didn't read the script, because I have seen the show and the movie and I know the music. I don't recall go to hell kitty in the stage version. How big is the role, would I get to dance in sing in any numbers? Does anybody know? I had my heart set on the cell block girls and I don't want to be dissappointed.

Go to Hell Kitty is not in Cell Block - though I'm pretty certain she does All That Jazz. It's the smallest role of the female company.

I beleive she is called "Go to Hell" Kitty as that is her line: "Go to Hell." She could be utilized as a member of the ensemble in any of the numbers.

true - but if they're doing a straight forward version of the show - she won't be in cell block - as the you are limited to your standard 'Pop, Six, Squish, Uh Uh, Cicero, Lip****z' group.

Damn, this may just be the smallest role I have ever played.

Kitty is not a CBT girl, true, but she's in all the other ensemble numbers that have women - All That Jazz, We Both Reached for the Gun, Razzle Dazzle, and All I Care About.

true - so I suppose you have to decide if an absence in CBT is a deal breaker. Good luck, it's a terrific show!

Go To Hell Kitty was originated in the revival by Leigh Zimmerman. A very tall and leggy blonde. She is in "All That Jazz," "All I Care About," "We Both Reached For The Gun," "Razzle Dazzle" and "The Finale - All That Jazz reprise." She has one very brief scene where she says "Go to hell. You go to hell."

*sigh* Everyone beat me to the answer lol

In addition, since you said you've seen the stage version of Chicago, Kitty is the character who slides down the side of the bandstand.... her scene is about a minute or two long and it's right before My Own Best Friend at the end of Act One.

Instead of "Cell Block" tango, her main scene is the one where she makes a big entrance and shoots her lover and his paramours with a machine gun thereby causing the press to go crazy and Velma and Roxie to lament that someone else has stolen their spotlight.

Good luck whatever you decide.
