It's the original 1975 libretto. So it doesn't follow the revival word by word. The revival has quite a few cuts.

The revival doesn't have a published libretto for purchase. It's the same script though - they just cut a scene and trimmed some dialogue and song.

Off the top of my head I know they cut

- a scene called "A Poker Game"
- "Me and My Baby" was a much longer number
- The finale dialogue between Roxie & Velma to the audience was trimmed a bit.

I can't find my libretto. So I'm trying to think of more.

Yes. All of the remaining dialouge from the revival can be found in the original libretto. They didn't add new lines or anything. They just did a trimming.

What is this for? I mean, there's been a lot of threads asking for script/score and I just don't get why.

I'm a huge CHICAGO fan, and I wanted to own the script. Maybe it's the same for the original poster.

It's not that rare to want to own a libretto of a show you enjoy. Most Sondheim librettos are published for purchase by the public.
