One poster seems to place too much importance on what he/she says. I started this post because of the interest in "Chicago" after the movie & thought a post comparing the 2 shows might be a good idea. This poster also seems to think I started this post to get back at him/her. Me thinks this party protests too much.

I saw A Chorus Line & Chicago both with the original casts. To me, Chicago has a better score. Choreography is , to me , to close to call. A Chorus Line had a better book . Comparing the 2 is like comparing apples & oranges. All I said is I thought Chicago was better.

If I really liked a show & someone else came on the board & not only said they did not like it ( I thought ACL was very good but thought Chicago was better)but hated it, I would not get all bent out of shape. It is a matter of opinion. There are some people out there who hate The Producers

Calm down & take a valium . It is only a discussion on theater & not a matter of life & death as some people seem to want to make it.

Get back at me for what Roxy? I never said you had a revenge motive. Talk about protesting too much.

Sorry. I'm sure it is just an ENORMOUS coincidence that the day after I mentioned that as a teenager I thought it was incumbent on fans of ACL or Chicago to pick one and defend it like it was a home team, a notion I later grew out of, you started a thread called "Chicago vs A Chorus Line," framing it like teams in some sort of competition. Complete coincidence. But you're really protesting too much.
