Children's Theatre Audition

Okay, I'm going to general auditions for a theatre that specializes in shows for children. I've never auditioned for children's shows and I need 2 contrasting monologues. 

The shows that I'm most interested in are The Bedt Christmas Pageant Ever and A Wrinkle in Time. I really don't have a role preference. 

Also, I'm all ears if  anyone has any tips for auditioning for this type of theatre.

Do you anticipate playing an adult role in those shows?  Or a kid's part?  That would make a difference in the types of monologues you'd be looking to use.  Regardless, keep your audience in mind.  They are kids who want to be engaged!

I'll more than likely get cast as a child.

Maybe try a monologue from SHORT EYES?
