Penny4Eyes-
Well, I originally thought you said you were 11 on this thread...but I guess it popped up somewhere else. Yes, at times it does feel sort of...saddening when you're the only Broadway freak at your school. But I get by. My friend David, who is an actor and an awesome singer, shares the same interest as me, so I'm always excited to see him.
Hm. If he (or maybe she) played Gavroche, what was his/her name?
I'm not as lucky as you, however. The most I've gotten was a few e-mails from Greg Jbara. But it's still
very exciting to get Broadway performers to respond to you. Wouldn't you agree?
A lot of older adults do tell me how great it is for me to be interested in Broadway/theatre. I feel great because most of the kids I know or have been around follow the crowd and listen to rap and/or Hilary Duff. They wouldn't know anything about theatre. It's sad, actually. On Tuesday, in my Drama class, we played a game where we sort of did a monolouge. Kind of like a "fill in the blank" sort of thing. And one of the sentences was "I joined Drama because ____________" More than half of the entire class of about forty said that it popped up on their schedule.
I also drool over any kid that's on Broadway. I'm thinking, "Wow, they're SO lucky!" But also, it's great to see more kids acting on Broadway these days. I follow everything that Ellen Marlow does, for example. She has a great singing voice, and she seems very nice.
Okay, I apologize for the thread jack. :-/
What the puck?!
