Chitty- Performer Vacations (and Other Broadway Shows)

I'm going to be ordering tickets to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang sometime after Nov. 28th ( I REALLY want Kudisch back!). I was wondering if you guys knew if any of the principals might be out on Vacation between 11/28-and 12/20? Erin Dilly is so cute up on stage, Jan Maxwell, Kudisch and the car are the real reason I wanna go. If Esparza is out, I won't be crushed, and I'm not particularly attatched to any certain "Jeremy and Jemima". I would however, like to see Bosco. He's great!

Also, are there any other shows that you know of to which some of the principals might be gone?

Erin's absences have been, and will probably continue to be rather unpredictable. I think the round of vacations for the leads *should* have already happened, but I don't really know anything about Jan.

If you really don't want to see Raúl, go see a Sunday night show. Rick Hilsabeck's doing all of the 6 p.m. Sunday shows for him.

Is Erin still in the show? I went maybe a month ago, and her profile/resume was in the playbill, but her name was out of the cast listing. Someone went on Tues-Thurs performances while another girl did the weekend. Erin's name was completely out!

She is. I *think* what you're referring to is that snafu they had with the understudy slips. When the leads were on vacation, they weren't going to use slips, but rather playbills that had alternate listings. Something went wrong with all of that, though. People got really confused.

Probably not.

Some clues: She's funny as hell, can ACTUALLY sing without being pitchy, and has no chemistry with Raúl.
If any of those things were untrue, you didn't see her.

So as you can see, I was totally confused by the whole playbill mix-up. And I don't even know whom I saw.

Until when is Raul contracted?

Late March.

I should consider adopting another hobby, don't you think? (I have a friend on the House Staff, so she keeps me updated. I really do have a life.)

No, I love the show, too!! I only wish others would give it a chance!
