yeah, I saw it. I was surprised at the fact that he says he can't really sing! Does his part in The Frogs require much singing? I don't know because I haven't heard the music from it yet.

i saw it, personally it doesn't sound interesting to me

I saw it. They didn't talk about the plot as much as I hoped they would, but the Gelman impression took up most of the time. re: Chris Kataan talking about The Frogs

haha yeah that was pretty funny
they just talked about how it was by a greek playwright, who he auditioned for (susan stroman and nathan lane) and that he can't really sing lol

I saw it and thought it was a terrible interview They spent more time talking about his Gelman impression and his house than they did about the show and this is BROADWAY week so people will be watching in hopes of trying to decide whether they want to see something

His part does not really require singing chops so that's not a huge concern, but my guess is that Susan Stroman will not be happy with this promotional appearance. He didn't explain anything about the show or get people excited by talking about working with the people he is working with...really bad job at selling tickets, Chris

BwayTheatre11, are we starting a Tonya Pinkins on LIVE! thread? I have a lot to talk about with that performance....

Chris defined the phrase "without a clue".

THE FROGS deserves a better spokesman.

Chris doing Campbell's Soup commercial: 'So, when I used to work on SNL I always liked to pretend I was Betty Crocker. I really like those Sarah Lee cakes she bakes and Ivory soap is the only soap for my skin'

I couldn't agree more. I was all set to hear about this play and he acted like he's never done this before. Just awful.

Has anybody here seen this in previews yet? I haven't seen anything about the performances and was curious about those - as well as the new book and songs.

I too was disappointed in his interview and was looking for more information about the play itself. Personally except for the performances I think Regis and Kelly have been very weak when it comes to their Broadway knowledge. It's quite evident that neither of them have seen any of these shows that have been on this week. They just don't have the love of Broadway as when Rosie used to have broadway performances on her show!

I can't sing...not I DON'T really HAVE to sing much in this show.

It was written by Aristophanes, you know the guy whose paperbacks you buy all the time...ha ha

ARGHHH. If I didn't know anything about this show I would cross it off my list.

You can cruise over to ATC to see what has been written but it's mostly about the dress and first preview and not much detail.

Take a look tonight and you should see some more. I know there is someone planning to post about last night's show

Do Regis and Kelly know ANYTHING about the theatre?

No, and apparently they don't care to do any research, even so much as to know the basic theme of a play or musical. Their show is a terrible venue for showcasing Broadway shows and we DO miss Rosie!
