Chris Kattan in Frogs

I reccently discovered that Chris Kattan was fired from Frogs before it went on Broadway. Anyone heard of anyone else who this happened to?

Tonya Pinkins was fired from "Jelly's Last Jam", then re-hired. Save for the time onstage, she and Gregory Hines never spoke during the entire run.

Does anybody know if Melora Waters left "Match", or was fired?

Saw Kattan in "The Frogs". He was definitely out of his element. Went back to see Roger Bart, who was smashing. The cast album has been in constant rotation since it came out last week.

Are you referring to "Little Shop" with Joey Fatone? I didn't like him very much, but he wasn't horrible.

No he is refering to when they fired the entire cast (except Hunter). Alice ripley was fired when they brought in a new director (Jerry Zacks) between the out of town try out and the broadway opening.

Let's not forget the infamous firing of Patti LuPone from Sunset Boulevard. And add Faye Dunaway to that list.

Jenna Elfman was fired from Nine.

Judy Garland was fired from...oh, wait that was a film.

Justin Guarini fired from Good Vibrations

Kecia Lewis-Evans (Was she fired?) from Once on This Island

Alison Frazer was not rehired back for Falsettoland due to the difficulties in working with her. (She was blacklisted from B'way for awhile)

Jennifer Holiday was fired from her second Broadway show for showing up late (past the curtain time)

Jonathan Larson wanted to fire the director of Rent, but never got around to it, as, sadly, he passed away.

Bob Fosse almost fired Stephen Schwartz for Pippin -well, actually, he banned him from rehearsals cause Shwartz kept changing the music.

The writers of the Broadway show "Grease" were fired from the movie set, and changes went on in the film behind their backs.

I always forget about the Coral Gables debacle of "Little Shop". Alice would have made a wonderful Audrey. Did they think she was too old? I know Lee Wilkof was fired as Mr. Mushnik, but who was supposed to play Orin?

It's Kerry Butler, and I actually thought she was very good. I love her vocals on "Somewhere That's Green".

I thought she was terrible! She had no chemistry with the rest of the cast and I found her voice irritating to no end.

Really. I've loved her in everything she's been in, and was uberdissapointed that she wasn't nominated for a Tony for "Little Shop".

I didn't like the revival of little shop at all, except for hunter and douglas sills. The rest of the cast I thought were misdirected!

For the record, Guarini wasn't fired from Good Vibrations. He left because he got an offer for something that he couldn't do and do the show at the same time.

Justin Guarini came in second. Frenchie didn't make it very far. And the girl who came in second on last season's American idol could possibly be starring as Belle. Anyone see a trend? Why does broadway get the American idol losers?

Don't forget Tamyra Gray in "Bombay Dreams". Also, there was talk for a while that Kelly Clarkson was going to do Taboo.

I was in row K, a couple seats in. She and her husband were on the aisle of row I, looking very in love and happy. Apparently, Brooke Shields and her husband were also there somewhere.

The most upsetting thing about the Little Shop transfer was the firing of Billy Porter as Audrey 2. I think he would have been AMAZING. I get tired of bass Audrey 2's with the same delivery of the lines. When my college did it, we had a girl with an awesome range voice the plant and it was awesome. Brought out different parts of the relationship between Seymour and Audrey 2.

Anyway Billy Porter I think would have been hysterical.

well it's a tour of a Broadway show - Sebastian Bach was fired from the "Jesus Christ Superstar" tour a couple of years ago.

btw - Kerry Butler on the "Little Shop..." CD was aweful!!!... i had to turn it off. i'm sure Alice would have done a much better cast recording.
