The fact that all of you need to continually bash WISH only prove how pathetic and desperate for conversation you must really be. Regardless of whether or not he likes the show, we are all involved with the theater. Wishes for luck from one performer to another are professional and admirable, whether we like their work or not. So get over it (and yourselves).

Just tired of reading his pompous nonsense post after post. It is not my responses to his posts that are pathetic, but his continual need to validate his theatre knowledge and see himself in print. If you don't like it, don't read them.

WISH again? In the positive for this show?

A shocking development. I ALMOST passed over the thread when I saw Dame's name on the history and thought, what the hell, let's see what's going on. Maybe someone else has slapped WISH down already.

I see that it's already happened.

I almost forgot, in a nod to WISH's stellar writing style...I must post for WISH my opinion of Phantom of the Opera.

Phantom of the Opera is a piece of crap musical and I am shocked that people still produce it and audience members still show up to see the very frightening "10 minute chandelier fall".

Wow! Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I've been reading this board for a while now and just had to join and voice MY opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong but from the posts I've read WISH'S bashing of SW has been for the show, NOT for the star. I wish Ms. Applegate all the best too but the reason I'm not seeing Sweet Charity is because the show is awful. Maybe those of you who are starved for mediocre theater will enjoy it but did ANY of you who are championing its' merits actually see the original with Verdon? I did, my family did and my friends did and we all felt the same. It was a show soley crafted for the talents of the star and that's ALL that anyone I knew who saw it felt. A GREAT star turn but a dismal show that has only dated itself as time has passed. The buzz on the original was tepid at best even when the show was in previews. People just did not like it. In fact it was very similiar at the time to an earlier show called "What Makes Sammy Run?" The score was fun to listen to on the album but the show itself just left a bad taste.To retaliate by attacking "Phantom" as being crap is just ludicrous. Yea, the show has run close to thirteen years and will end up breaking the record as the longest running show in the history of the theater yet you know best. Ridiculous!

Maybe if you took a little time to read what wishIhadatony actually wrote your post might be different. He had earlier posts full of lies dressed as facts. You might also want to check out the fddler /Harvey thread. ( and I believe the attack on Phantom was suppose to be sarcastic ) .

DAME, the people here are bored with you, quite simply. You have nothing interesting to post and there is obviously problems here with you. Not everyone is a moron as you are DAME. Some folks have worked for many years in this industry and creeps like you(with very rare exception) never survive this field. You have no idea, very often the people with whom you are conversing on a theater message board. Many here(including Robert Diamond, the editor and many users who are actually in the business throughout New York and the rest of the country, indeed some outside of the United States) do KNOW who I am, "in real life." iluvtheatertrash, and the other posters and the many folks who sent me PMs,
I thank you...It is indeed sad that so many of the posters here, do not post and now send PMs because they fear posting on the message board will bring them attacks as they received in the past.
For every demented loser queen like DAME, baddadnpa, we know the names of the miseries here........There are DOZENS or HUNDREDS more users here who are a delight to see and have ongoing relationships with. I AM THRILLED AT THE volumes of PMS I receive on a daily basis from people who enjoy my postings. I try to respond as soon as possible and I thank goodness for laptops:)
Take heart folks, the "problem" people here are VERY much in the minority and the IGNORE setting does help many to avoid the postings of the disturbed users. EVERY message board site has its share of, shall we just say, "problem people."

I WILL STRONGLY CAUTION against the continued use of personal attacks on this Board. They do not belong here and the owner/editor of the site has made it clear they will not be tolerated. I have not requested action against anyone due to "personal attacks." For your life in general, for this Board, for the way people should treat each other in general on this Earth, stop the personal attacks now. It will make you a happier and better person.
