Christina Applegate in Sweet Charity..Good? or Just another flop?

I've heard mixed things about Christina Applegate,
has anyone seen her?
Some have said she was terrible and that she only got it because she is in movies etc.. Others have said that she was doing well..any thoughts?
Let me know if I should see it or if i's just a waste...

You are kidding, right? There are at least 50 threads arguing for and against her performance on this site alone! There are those who say she has no right to be on Broadway, can't sing, can't act, can't dance, etc,(many of those posters have not seen the performance, however). There are those who saw the performance in previews and thought the show was weak, but Christina was fine. There are those who have seen in on Broadway in previews (and please remember, this show is still IN PREVIEWS)and have wholeheartedly enjoyed the show and her performance. Oh...and let's not forgot those that feel Charlotte D'Amboise should actually be in this role.

Do yourself a favor though, SEE THE SHOW FIRST, then rate it. Don't rely on others to form an opinion for you!

I haven't seen the show, but judging from what of seen on the today show and from I heard Christina is growing into it and proving herself. Earlier I wasd hoping that it do well, but when she broke her foot and all the pre-bway hoopla I was ready for it to fold, but now I'm really pulling for it, it sems lker both the show and Christina have made a 360 turn around. If all goes well, I smell a couple of Tonys, but since its still in prevciews, we all have to wait til opening night, the reviews, and the overall response it gets.
