I got a notice from the Lincoln Center Theater that Jonathan Miller's production of King Lear starring Christopher Plummer will be presented in Winter/Spring 2004 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Plummer received glowing reviews for his performance in this production last year in Canada.

I saw this production in Canada and it was awesome, go see it. BTW He will only play 5 perfs/wk.

Not surprised he will only play 5 perfs/week. Lear in one of the most physically and emotionally demanding roles in the Shakespeare canon and Mr. Plummer will be 76 when the show opens in New York.
Any idea who else is in the cast?
I saw the Stratford production with Plummer last year. It was great. Apparently the cast is almost completely intact, though Edmund and Edgar have both been reast (Not too big of a loss... Edmund was passable but I didn't really care for his portrayal).
Originally Peter Gallagher had been offered Edmund but now he's on a big prime time soap opera hit so that went west. (literally!) Too bad cos he does Bastard so well!
