The clips are up! Just follow the link! Is it just me or do the songs seem to drag just the slightest bit? I hope they picked up the pace a little bit!
Clips!

Thanks. They don't sound the best, but when I get the CD I will love it!

Ugh. Norbert's song made my flesh crawl just as much as it did in person. Like, dude, you're totally not Roger anymore.

Can't play them, but I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my cd in the mail. I LOVED the show and I know I'll love the cd.

Hey, AB, if my flesh HADN'T crawled again when I listened to the clip, I would have mentioned that. I'm not the broken record, Norbert is.
I listened to Joel's song too, and even though I saw the show, I STILL have no idea what that song is, when he sang it in the show, or what it sounded like (given that FYE neglected to put the hooks of any song besides "Popular" online, that's no surprise). I guess Joel is STILL Mr. Cellophane.

Is it just me or do they seem slow? Like the music just didn't have as quick a tempo as other clips I've heard!
Oh i can't wait to get this CD!!!!
Why does it say Carol and Shelly for some of the clips? Are understudies singing those songs are something?
The tempo is defintley slower. Idina sounds older. She's not the powerhouse she is in some of the other clips I've heard. Especially when she belts "Fiyero!" in No Good Deed. It's sort of weak. And Kristin sounds different. I don't know what, just different.
Dancing Through Life? This is the song that is supposed to be better than "Which Way's the Party?". Wow, that's just, wow.
I think the FYE site is dragging them, producing the musak pace. There's a warble/wave thing happening on my laptop, even when I use my headphones. I'm with Namo about the bizarre decision to avoid the hooks. Why not let us hear Idina blast away on Defying Gravity or Wizard and I? It's as if some technician just shoved any 30 seconds on there at random. (Why give us Fiyero talking about the Ozdust ballroom?!) I'm in the minority, but I think the album overall sounds promising. The beefed up strings (added for the recording), etc make the orchestra sound full and lush; it helps the cause here.
(OT: Hope Norbert recovers soon. I can't stop giggling when I read "ailing Butz," nor can people at Playbill and other sites who were back in Jr. High again when they wrote that headline.)

But it will be fun to see Taye in the show!
Carole and Shelley is one name...Carole Shelley. She is the woman playing Madame Morrible. Simple as that.
They sound pretty good....I'm REALLY looking forward to getting the CD. I'll be at Virgin Records right after school Tuesday (2 blocks away)
